What is virtual reality?
Virtual Reality, or VR, is the use of computer
technology to create a simulated
environment which can be explored in 360
degrees.
Unlike traditional interfaces, VR places the user
inside the virtual environment to give an
immersive experience.
There are three main Type of VR
1. Non-immersive VR:
This is the least immersive type, where users interact with a virtual environment through a
standard computer setup, like a mouse and keyboard.
2. Semi-immersive VR:
This type offers a more immersive experience than non-immersive VR, often involving larger
screens or multiple monitors, and sometimes even a full-room setup.
3. Fully immersive VR:
This is the most immersive type, using VR headsets and motion sensors to create a realistic
virtual environment that feels like the real world.
What is augmented reality
Augmented reality (AR) is the real-time use of information in the form of text,
graphics, audio and other virtual enhancements integrated with real-world objects.
For example, think of Pokémon Go, where users are searching in their real-life
neighborhoods for animated characters that pop up on their phone or tablet.
What is Artificial intelligence (AI)
Artificial intelligence (AI) is the theory and development of computer
systems capable of performing tasks that historically required human
intelligence, such as recognizing speech, making decisions, and identifying
patterns.
For Example-
Google Translate: Uses deep learning algorithms to translate text
from one language to another.
Artificial intelligence is the simulation of human intelligence processes by
machines, especially computer systems.
Type of AI
Artificial intelligence (AI) are mainly two types, which are based on-
1- Based on Capabilities( Type -1)
2- Based on Functionality ( Type - 2)
7 TYPES OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
1. Artificial Narrow Intelligence: AI designed to complete very specific actions; unable to independently
learn.
2. Artificial General Intelligence: AI designed to learn, think and perform at similar levels to humans.
3. Artificial Superintelligence: AI able to surpass the knowledge and capabilities of humans.
4. Reactive Machines: AI capable of responding to external stimuli in real time; unable to build memory or
store information for future.
5. Limited Memory: AI that can store knowledge and use it to learn and train for future tasks.
6. Theory of Mind: AI that can sense and respond to human emotions, plus perform the tasks of limited
memory machines.
7. Self-aware: AI that can recognize others’ emotions, plus has sense of self and human-level intelligence;
the final stage of AI.
